Call for Papers
2022 5th IEEE International Conference on Unmanned Systems (ICUS 2022), co-sponsored by IEEE Guangzhou Section and Chinese institute of Command and Control, organized by Sun Yat-sen University, will be held from October 28 to 30 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China.
The conference proceedings will be submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library for inclusion and being indexed by EI. And so far, all four previous conference proceedings have been included in IEEE Xplore Digital Library and indexed by EI.
Scope
Over the years, unmanned systems, represented by unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned ground vehicles, unmanned surface ships, unmanned subsurface systems and robots, are developing rapidly, and have become a new growth pole and key support area of the global economy. Especially, unmanned systems are developing rapidly enabled by artificial intelligence.
This trend is reflected in various topics of interest of ICUS 2022. This conference will serve as a forum for scientists, engineers and practitioners to discuss related issues on unmanned systems, robotics, automation and intelligent systems.

Writing Requirements
Prospective authors are invited to submit full papers or extended abstracts in PDF format using the given templates at the bottom of this page.
Ⅰ. Full Paper
When writing full papers, the authors must use one of the given IEEE templates, Microsoft word A4 or LaTeX, which are listed below.
Full papers should describe original, unpublished research results on the above or related topics.
Each full paper had better not exceed 6 pages, including tables, figures and references, othewise it will be additionally charged for extra pages.
Multiple submission and plagiarism are prohibited. All full papers will be submitted to IEEE CrossCheck for plagiarism check, and the similarity should not exceeed 15% (bibliography excluded).
It is the author's responsibility to make sure that the submitted paper does not contain any confidential and/or sensitive contents.
Ⅱ. Extended Abstract
The primary purpose of extended abstract is to share excellent research results at the conference, and even published content can be submitted.
Authors should write extended abstracts in English using the corresponding template given below.
An extended abstract should not exceed 4 pages.
Submission and Publication
Both full papers and extended abstracts should be submitted through the conference online submission system .
After registered and presented at the conference, accepted full papers will be included in the conference proceedings, submitted to IEEE Xplore for inclusion and being indexed by EI.
Please be advised that IEEE requires all authors intending to publish in the IEEE Xplore® digital library must provide a transfer of copyright and the papers must be presented at the conference.
After registration, accepted extended abstracts can also be presented at the conference, but their copyrights will not be transferred, and they will not be included in the conference proceedings. Nor will they be submitted to IEEE Xplore and indexed by EI.
Standard of registration fee for extended abstract is the same as that for full paper.
Accepted full paper must be presented at the conference by one of the authors either on-site or online, otherwise it will be removed from the conference proceedings and the registration fee will not be refunded.
Best papers of the conference will be recommend to be published in such SCI journals as Chinese Journal of Aeronautics （IF: 2.769）, Sesnors (IF：3.576), Applied Sciences (IF: 2.679), Electronics (IF: 2.397), Drones (IF: 5.532) and ESCI journals of Robitics, and Unmanned Systems.
